  1. I'g new here and I'chiliad not sure if I accept this in the right place but I think this pertains to all of us handloaders that shoot a lot.

I have had a canteen of m-pro 7 for a few months and have honestly had terrible results. Following the instructions exactly as stated this stuff is very low in performance compared to other products that I have used. I won't mention their names because I don't desire to sound similar I'thou trying to pimp a product.

I was cleaning a pistol with a stainless barrel yesterday that had coppered upwardly all the way down the riflings and ran the k-pro 7 through twice (letting it sit for 5-10min) and barely any copper came out. I tried another well know copper remover and after i good swabbing for 5 min it was totally removed. I have had similar results in the past.

I really want this stuff to work and love the fact that It is nigh odorless unlike other copper removers.

  2. MPro-vii does Non remove copper.
Repeat, information technology does Not remove copper.

That said, however, MPro7 is my accented All-time solvent to clean pulverisation fouling... the best.

I then follow it with KG-12 to get the copper exposed by cleaning out from behind what was the powder overlay.
KG-12 is the ONLY stuff I've found over many, many years that flat sucks all the copper off literally in minutes, and it
too gets whatever powder is left over

No matter what I've tried in the last twoscore years, I always come back to the fact that gun cleaning is a two stride process: Powder fouling first, so copper remover.
Butch's Boreshine comes second every bit a 1-cease cleaner, merely fifty-fifty Butch's takes its own sweet fourth dimension to quit turning blue.

  3. I believe that there is an MPro-7 guncleaner and an MPro-vii copper remover. ii different products.

  4. I've as well tried the MPro Copper cleaner.
It'south now sitting on my shelf (unused), and the KG-12 is what goes to the range due west/ me.

Again, MPro-vii gun cleaner/solvent is great for pulverization foulding.

  5. Thank you for the description.

I apply Hoppe'southward Elite gun cleaner, which is the same every bit MPro-7 (same manufacturer, different characterization).

  6. I am referring to the copper remover. I use hopes no 9 for my chief solvent.
  7. Its not scent costless, but the best copper remover I have found is sweets. Hoppies benchrest is decent also, but it needs to soak in alot longer to be equally effective.
  8. I use the M-Pro 7 Copper Remover, it works for me.
  9. mpro 7 copper works though it's min. of 30mins. and if there's still traces i redo it once more.
after getting information technology squeaky clean i haven't use it once again. my routine now is mpro7 cleaner and mpro7 clp.
with the mpro7 cleaner , letting information technology sit for 30mins with really lots of fouling don't do the fob.i have to redo information technology three times. so with heavy fouling don't expect a quick cleaning time.
but after range time and i allow information technology overnight. information technology just takes me several few mins of cleaning.i stop upwardly with mirror like shine butt. <--- don't know the tech term to describe that :(
  10. K Pro 7 Copper Remover is ane of the meliorate copper solvents.

  12. I employ Shooter's Choice Copper Remover Solvent and Lead Remover Solvent in my guns and both work extremely well for me...
  13. No comparisson to KG12. Try information technology and you won't be dissappointed. I accept no commercial connection with KG12. I was but impressed when I discovered information technology.
  14. Haven't tried M Pro 77,just Barnes CR 10 is far and away the all-time I have used for copper removal.I shoot a .257 Wby,(I know it'south a handgun thread),that gets coppered upward pretty bad.The Barnes stuff just plainly works great.
  15. M-Pro 7 Diameter Gel definitely does remove copper, I have a trash can total of blue/greenish patches to prove it. I tin can't say how well information technology works compared to Sweets, KG12, or what have you lot.
