Cleaning my smoker is no easy job… I don't similar to use whatever chemicals or cleaners on the inside of my smoker, I want to proceed that "seasoning". Simply I will get a pigment scraper and use it to knock any big pieces off on the inside… but that'southward about it. Only I do like to keep the metallic racks clean. And I pull these racks out and clean them every few cooks. And since I cook on my smokers just well-nigh every weekend, this can go a large task. But I found something that WORKS… Go to your nearest Dollar Tree and purchase Totally Awesome Degreaser. This stuff is merely $1 a canteen and it's bad news. For the racks I use a big Water Heater Drain pan (Lowe's $20) Place the racks inside, squirt each ane downwardly with the Totally Crawly, fill with h2o until the racks are covered, and permit them soak for 3-4 hours. All yous have to practice is put on a pair of gloves, elevator them out of the soak and hose off. Everything will come correct off with no scrubbing. Every bit for my cookers, earlier I'grand going to a Large Competition or Catering Event, I will spray the outside downwardly with Totally Awesome and rub it down. But I gotta warn ya… this stuff took some of the pain off my Ole Hickory, so move fast and scout out. Now I ever rinse and "burn" the racks before I put whatsoever meat on them. After rinsing them real good I get them back on the smoker, start a fire and bring the cooker up to 300 degrees for about an hr – and and then your gear up for some other load of meat or some on-site judging. Give the Totally Awesome a try, you can't trounce the price and it works. .
