After cleaning my filter I noticed the bleed plug was dripping very slowly...one drop at a time. The more I turned the drain plug counter clock wise it dripped faster & actually popped out with the pressure level of the pump running. I check the threads on the drain plug & they wait good (not stripped). I've gone through this process of reinserting it twice with the same result. What am I doing incorrect?
Did you lot maybe lose the O-ring or gasket?
Still have the o-ring & information technology looks to exist proficient.

I withal accept the o-band & it looks good. Only 2 1/two years former, merely thinking to supersede to rule out. Could I have stripped the inner threads on the filter? Not the plug. Thinking of using plumbers tape in improver to o-ring although I'm told that is the purpose of the o-ring (sealing it).
Still accept the o-ring & it looks to be skilful.

Google "bulkhead fitting" if you lot decide that the tank threads are stripped. Information technology'southward cheaper than a new tank.
